We welcome Independent and Private schools to visit Maktaba.

School Subscription Programs

We offer 4 customizable options to meet the needs and interest of each school and grade level. We rely on the input of the School Liaison for the creation of the program.

Individual Class Visit to Maktaba – During the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., we are available for class visits. We can host a maximum of 25 students per visit. During these visits, students will be able to:

  • Tour the entire library
  • Browse books
  • Engage in age appropriate craft and reading activities
  • Learn about libraries and how they work

Students and schools must provide their own transportation to/from Maktaba. The cost is QAR 55 per student, per visit to the Maktaba.

Maktaba Visits Your School – During the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., we are available to hold an interactive story time on your school premises. The number of students able to attend the event is determined by the school. The cost is 2,000 QR per session.

Annual School Subscriptions – For an annual fee of QAR 4,950, schools can:

  • Schedule four class visits to the Maktaba (see details above)
  • Schedule one Maktaba Visit to your school (see details above)

Workshops – Maktaba offers a variety of workshops tailored to school’s needs. Educators, librarians, as well as students, can benefit from our workshops in a variety of areas including reading skills, developing research skills related activities and establishing book clubs based on having fun and falling in love with reading.

Workshops operate on a fee based structure determined by number of attendees and duration.

Scheduling Visits

School liaisons must request their visits or workshops no less than 10 working days in advance by submitting the School Inquiry form found below.

When making your request, please ensure to provide two or three possible date options. We will do our very best to accommodate your students on your preferred dates.

Please note your visit is not booked until you receive confirmation from Maktaba.
